Contracts in the pipeline segment in the oil and gas industry registered a decrease in activity by 54% in November 2021 with a total of 17 contracts, when compared with the previous month’s total of 37 contracts, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.

A total of 17 contracts were recorded in the pipeline sector globally during the month, when compared with the last 12-month moving average of 31 contracts.


In November 2021, the majority of contracts in the pipeline segment were in the onshore pipeline sub-segment with 15 contracts and a 68% share. Offshore pipeline sub-segment witnessed seven contracts, during the month.

Europe held the top position with six contracts and a 35% share during November 2021, followed by Middle East and Asia-Pacific with five contracts (29%) and four contracts (24%), respectively.

During the month, the majority of contracts in the pipeline segment were awarded in the procurement with seven contracts, followed by design & engineering and installation with six and four contracts, respectively.
