Contracts in the pipeline segment in the oil and gas industry registered an increase in activity by 3% in September 2022 with a total of 30 contracts, when compared with the previous month’s total of 29 contracts, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.

A total of 30 contracts were recorded in the pipeline sector globally during the month, when compared with the last 12-month moving average of 36 contracts.

In September 2022, the majority of contracts in the pipeline segment were in the onshore pipeline sub-segment with 25 contracts and a 74% share. Offshore pipeline sub-segment witnessed nine contracts, during the month.

Asia-Pacific held the top position with 10 contracts and a 33% share during September 2022, followed by North America and Europe with nine contracts (30%) and six contracts (20%), respectively.

During the month, the majority of contracts in the pipeline segment were awarded in the procurement with 14 contracts, followed by operations & maintenance and construction with 10 and seven contracts, respectively.
