Tortue 1 Floating LNG Liquefaction Terminal, Mauritania

Located in Atlantic Ocean in Mauritania, the Tortue 1 Floating LNG liquefaction terminal is owned by Golar LNG and Keppel and will be operated by Gimi MS, once it becomes operational in 2023.

The Tortue 1 Floating LNG liquefaction terminal will source gas from the following fields -Tortue (Mauritania) and Tortue (Senegal)

With one train, Tortue 1 Floating terminal will have an initial LNG production capacity of 2.5Mtpa (million tons per annum).

During the period 2021-2025, the Tortue 1 Floating liquefaction plant is expected to witness an estimated capex of $1,200m.

Contractors involved in the liquefaction plant

Some of the key contractors for the Tortue 1 Floating LNG liquefaction plant include the following.

Design/FEED: China International Marine Containers (Group), Eiffage Genie Civil Marine, Eni, Golar LNG.

Main EPC: Black & Veatch Holding, Keppel.

EPC: Eiffage Genie Civil Marine, Eni, KBR.
