Usan Conventional Oil Field, Nigeria

Usan is a producing conventional oil field located in deepwater in Nigeria and is operated by Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria. The field is located in block OML 138 (OPL 222P), with water depth of 2,805 feet.

An expansion project is associated with the Usan, namely Usan Future Phases. This project is currently in the feed stage.

The field is owned by TotalEnergies, China National Offshore Oil, Exxon Mobil and Chevron.

Production from Usan

The Usan conventional oil field recovered 97.60% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2014. The peak production was approximately 122.01 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2024.

Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 6.86 Mmboe, comprised of 6.86 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate.
