Usan is a producing conventional oil field located in deepwater in Nigeria and is operated by Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria . The field is located in block OML 138 (OPL 222P), with water depth of 2,805 feet.
An expansion project is associated with the Usan, namely Usan Future Phases. This project is currently in the feed stage.
Production from Usan
The Usan conventional oil field recovered 62.29% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2014. The peak production was approximately 122.01 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2041. The field currently accounts for approximately 2% of the country’s daily output.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 184.9 Mmboe, comprised of 184.9 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate. Usan conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.04% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
