Wadi Aswad (Block 27) is a producing conventional oil field located onshore Oman and is operated by Occidental of Oman. The field is located in block Block 27 (Wadi Aswad).

The field is owned by Mitsui and Occidental Petroleum.

Production from Wadi Aswad (Block 27)

The Wadi Aswad (Block 27) conventional oil field recovered 74.61% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2020. The peak production was approximately 11.91 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 42 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2028. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.

The field is expected to recover 20.99 Mmboe, comprised of 9.51 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 68.91 bcf of natural gas reserves.
