Wyoming witnessed an increase of 1.39% in total oil and gas production to 878,103.43 boe/d in September 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.
The oil and gas production declined 4.24% in September 2021 from 916,997.6 boe/d in September 2020. On a YTD basis, the total oil and gas production in 2021 decreased by 6.74% from the same period in 2020.
In September 2021, oil production declined 1.53% to 231,245.3 bd as against the previous month, while gas production up by 2.47% to 3,751.78 mmcf/d.
On a YTD basis, oil production decreased by 5.38% in 2021 when compared with the same period in 2020, while gas production declined by 7.21%. Out of the total oil and gas production in September 2021, oil held a 26.33% share, while gas had a 73.66% share.
In Wyoming, Ultra Petroleum emerged as the largest oil and gas producer, recording a total oil and gas production at 132,352.2 boe/d in September 2021, an increase of 0.87% from the previous month. The company held a 2.17% share in oil production and 19.68% share in gas production in September 2021.
On a YTD basis, the company registered a 19.98% decrease in total oil and gas production from the same period in 2020.
Compared with other counties in Wyoming, Sublette county recorded the highest oil and gas production, holding a 39.22% share in September 2021. The county witnessed a 4.61% increase in production to 344,420.25 boe/d in September 2021 when compared with the previous month.
On a YTD basis, Sublette registered a decline of 13.99% in total production from the same period in 2020.
