ONEOK said that Sterling III will be capable of transporting 193,000 barrels a day of NGL products from ONEOK Partners’ facilities in Medford to storage and fractionators at Mont Belvieu. The pipeline moves through Woodford Shale and offers transportation options for NGL production from the Cana-Woodford Shale and Granite Wash. The entire cost for the 540-mile pipeline and reconfigurations to the first two Sterling pipelines is expected to be between $760m and $790m.

ONEOK completed the Canadian Valley processing plant at a cost of about $360m. The plant, which also serves production of the Cana-Woodford, is capable of processing 200 million cubic feet of natural gas a day. The new processor will be the company’s largest in Oklahoma, and increases its statewide processing capacity to around 700 million cubic feet a day.

ONEOK has also completed its $46m ethane-propane splitter near the Gulf Coast east of Houston. The Mont Belvieu facility will split an ethane / propane mix into purity ethane and purity propane at a volume of around 40,000 barrels a day, producing 32,000 barrels a day of purity ethane and 8,000 barrels a day of propane.

ONEOK Partners president and chief executive officer Terry Spencer said: "These investments continue to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to build the infrastructure necessary to better serve our producers and customers."
