Aptomar signed an agreement to provide its integrated field monitoring services for OMV Norway’s future drilling activities.
Under the terms of the three-year agreement, OMV can access Aptomar’s environmental monitoring services.
On behalf of OMV, Aptomar’s maritime control centre Aptomarin will manage the task of monitoring, reporting and detect unintended oil spills.
The task will include all sensors, procedures, and providing training to both onshore and offshore crew.

Upon detecting an oil spill, the personnel aboard the installation will be alerted following which a common operating picture shared by the operator, NOFO and the Norwegian Coastal Authority will be established.
The environmental services provided by the centre are applicable for production as well as drilling activities.
