Bourbon Arctic

France-based Bourbon has received the new anchor handling tug supply vessel Bourbon Arctic from Vard Brattvåg shipyard in Norway.

Bourbon Arctic has already completed its first anchor handling operation aiding with the disconnection as well as unmooring of the ‘Island Innovator’ rig, located in the Fosen field in the central North Sea.

The new vessel has been designed to operate in remote areas worldwide and is equipped for advanced anchor handling and towing operations.

Bourbon Arctic also has the capability of intervening in complex environments and comprises a bollard pull of 307t in boost mode and 193t in diesel electric mode.

The vessel has large passenger accommodation capacities of SPS class and can accommodate up to 60 persons. It can also be used as a floatel when not engaged in anchor-handling operations.
