Eagle Rock Energy is planning to invest $100m for a new 125 MMcf/d high efficiency cryogenic processing plant in Wheeler County, Texas, US.
The work will involve the construction of the new Wheeler Plant, in addition to the associated infrastructure, gathering and compression, which is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2012.
Once the Wheeler Plant commences its services, Eagle Rock Energy will have more than 300 MMcf/d of high efficiency cryogenic processing capacity in the area.
Company chairman and CEO Joseph Mills said the Wheeler Plant will allow the firm to better accommodate its customers’ increased drilling activity in the Granite Wash.
Eagle Rock Energy has also completed the construction of the 30 MMcf/d expansion of its Phoenix-Arrington Ranch Plant.
