Golden Valley Mines has said it has identified several drill ready prospects in the Abitibi Greenstone Belt located in Quebec and Ontario, Canada.
Preliminary fieldwork undertaken over the company’s 100%-owned properties involved ‘boot and hammer’ prospecting and sampling, and the establishment of mini grids over high-priority target areas for the completion of ground geophysical surveys.
The company’s AGB Grassroots exploration project is aimed at identifying prospective targets for both precious metals like gold, silver and platinum group elements (PGE) and base metals such as copper, zinc, cobalt, nickel.
Currently, Golden Valley has identified drill targets on 21 individual prospects, which together include 55 targets spanning 7,445m of proposed diamond drilling.
A further 63 follow-up drillholes covering 9,838m of diamond drilling is proposed on eight separate properties, following the initial diamond drill programs operated by Golden Valley.
The company stated that it also has a portfolio of 13 sites that require further exploration work based on encouraging results obtained in initial drilling campaigns.
