Amphora Canada Gas Storage ULC, an affiliate of ArcLight Capital Partners, LLC, has acquired Chevron Alberta Gas Storage ULC, which owns a 43% non-operated interest in Alberta Hub gas storage facility, from Chevron Canada Properties Ltd. The remaining 57% stake in the facility is owned by Iberdrola Canada Energy Services Limited.
The 42.7 billion cubic feet (bcf) depleted-reservoir natural gas storage facility is situated 129km west of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
The acquisition enables Amphora Canada to expand its gas storage patronage in Canada.
Parsley Energy Inc, an independent oil and natural gas company, has signed an agreement with an undisclosed company to acquire undeveloped acreage, and oil and gas producing properties in Midland Basin, Texas, US, for a cash consideration of approximately $215m.
The assets extend across an area of 8,711 net acres in Midland, Upton, Reagan, and Glasscock counties in Texas.
The proposed acquisition will allow Parsley to expand its oil and gas assets portfolio in Texas.
John Wood Group plc, an oil and gas service provider, has completed the acquisition of SVT Engineering Consultants (SVT), a provider of piping and rotating equipment vibration, noise, integrity engineering and asset integrity services.
The operations of SVT will be controlled by the Wood Group Kenny business.

Ivanhoe Energy Holdings owns intellectual property rights of licence to HTL heavy oil upgrading technology.
The transaction allows FluidOil to integrate HTL technology into its existing Viscositor technology, to create a new heavy oil upgrading solution, Viscositor HTL.
