Oilfield services provider Petrofac has secured a contract from CNR International (CNRI) to provide integrated services for the Espoir Ivoirien floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel offshore Ivory Coast, West Africa.
Under the contract, which has an initial three-year period, Petrofac’s Asset Solutions business will provide integrated services for the FPSO.
The FPSO was divested by BW Offshore in June 2023 to CNRI for a total consideration of $20m (£15.2m).
Upon completion of the sale, around 110 personnel currently supporting the FPSO, including those onshore and on the vessel, will transition from BW Offshore to Petrofac.
Petrofac said the transition of people and operatorship is planned for completion before the end of July 2023.
Petrofac Asset Solutions business chief operating officer Nick Shorten said: “We bring our considerable global FPSO experience to the Ivory Coast, adding to our portfolio of service contracts in Africa. Petrofac is expanding across the continent, providing local jobs, developing local skills and collaborating with local partners.
