Petrotechnics has introduced its new Proscient v4.0 off-the-shelf software platform to expedite oil and gas companies’ efforts to digitalise their operations.

The technology offers an integrated view of the operational reality while allowing visualisation and management of activity and risk.

It can unlock a simple approach to link activity planning, maintenance management and operations with real-time work execution.

Proscient has been or is in the process of being deployed on more than 40 assets by nine North Sea operators such as Petrofac, Teekay and Neptune Energy. In addition, the technology is rolled out by two operators on 12 assets in the Gulf of Mexico.

“Companies with digital ambition are selecting Proscient.”

It is also being leveraged in the downstream and petrochemical sectors, including ongoing deployments by BASF, Saudi Aramco and Petronas.

Petrotechnics product management and marketing vice-president Scott Lehmann said: “Companies with digital ambition are selecting Proscient. They see the practical benefits of a truly connected digital platform and the single shared view of operational reality it provides.

“They’re visualising and managing risk and activity in a new and connected way, which helps bring together operations, maintenance, engineering, HSE and other functions.”

Proscient is said to automatically connect data on process safety-critical equipment’s health status, maintenance and inspection with the cumulative risk impact they have on operational reality of a plant.

Individual Proscient customers are said to have so far recorded up to $6.5m in annual savings, which include up to a 75% decrease in crew wait time, a 50% reduction in supervisor wait time and a 47% cutback in annual downtime.
