The financial terms of the contract were not revealed by the companies.
Under the terms of the contract, SLB will provide a range of services including subsurface evaluation, candidate selection for wells, engineering and the execution of offshore activities.
The scope also includes project management, intervention operations, monitoring, metering and marine logistics, all coordinated through a single framework intended to streamline production restoration work.
SLB integration senior vice-president Gokhan Yarim said: “Building on our long collaboration in the region, this contract reflects a shared commitment to maximising value from existing offshore resources.
“Together with BSP, we are combining SLB’s production expertise and integrated execution capabilities to help restore production from shut-in wells, increase recovery from existing infrastructure and support BSP’s long-term production objectives.”
According to SLB, this project will be the first time BSP uses an integrated production restoration model that unifies multiple disciplines and operating processes.
The programme will follow a well, reservoir and facility management methodology, bringing together surveillance, engineering and planning for interventions in a coordinated manner.
This approach is intended to create a structured process for boosting production while maintaining a focus on safety and operational efficiency in mature offshore environments.
SLB said that the new contract with BSP highlights a movement towards integrated production and recovery strategies that combine technical expertise and coordinated management.
BSP operates as an upstream oil and gas business focusing on hydrocarbon exploration and extraction from both onshore and offshore locations to supply domestic and international markets.
BSP represents a long-standing collaboration between the Government of Negara Brunei Darussalam and Shell, which began with the discovery of the Seria field in 1929.
The company is a major oil and gas producer in Brunei Darussalam, managing in excess of 200 offshore installations connected by a pipeline network spanning more than 5,000km.
Earlier this month, SLB signed a multi-year agreement with Equinor to deliver advanced reservoir stimulation services across the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
