UK energy services company Wood Group has received three contracts from Adnoc Onshore to deliver project management consultancy (PMC) services in the UAE.
Adnoc Onshore is a subsidiary of UAE-based firm Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc).
The contracts have a combined value of $53m and will be valid for five years.
The terms of the contracts allow one-year extension options. Under the terms of the contract, Wood will provide PMC services for major projects across Adnoc Onshore’s fields in Abu Dhabi.
Wood noted that the contracts will support Adnoc’s group-wide production capacity target of four million barrels of oil a day by 2020.
Over the course of the contract period, approximately 100 new jobs are expected to be created.

By GlobalDataWood Asset Solutions Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia CEO Dave Stewart said: “Wood has a strong foothold in the Middle East and our strategic focus on continuing to broaden the capabilities we deliver to the oil and gas market in this region is demonstrated by these new contracts.
“We look forward to working closely with Adnoc Onshore to continue to deliver safe and effective services, applying our ingenuity and expertise to maximise production of its onshore assets in line with their 2030 strategy.
“We are focused on supporting in-country value and closer collaboration with the UAE supply chain, using local vendors for the purchase of goods and services.”
The latest contract award builds on the existing relationship between Wood and Adnoc.
Wood will deliver the contract services from its offices in Abu Dhabi with support from other worldwide locations.
Earlier this month, Wood has reached an agreement with Nobel Oil to form a joint venture (JV) for the provision of engineering and operations support services to clients in the oil and gas industry in Azerbaijan.
