After achieving an important ATEX-certification, Semco Maritime can now deliver certified electrical panels to be used in potentially explosion atmospheres directly to our clients.
Delivering electrical panels to the offshore market and other potentially explosive atmospheres requires a lot of planning and a high level of expertise. This has been achieved after a number of courses about new and existing standards. Both the documentation form and handling are made in cooperation with our supplier of electrical panels and fulfil the supplier’s demands for certificates.
The communication with our supplier is only handled by special, approved employees in the department and in our HSEQ. This is due to the ISO standards as well as other current requirements.
In-house design
The ATEX-certificate does not only cover the workshop but also the employees involved. The systems are built in-house and all components used in the panels must be of a particularly high quality to avoid any risk of ignition of gas or dust in the explosive atmospheres where these systems are used.
