Fiber Optic Component for Umbilical Cables
AFL’s Fiber Optic Component for Umbilical Cables is designed for subsea umbilical cable applications and uses AFL’s hermetically sealed stainless-steel tube technology. Along with two layers of polyethylene jacketing, an inner layer of armor wires and hydrogen scavenging gel filling, the stainless-steel tube provides protection and longevity for fibers at depths exceeding 10,000ft. The Fiber Optic Component is customizable to the specification of the user and AFL offers a variety of designs to meet the most stringent requirements.
