This interchanger is operated at 24 bar G and is transferring heat from a feed-to-bottom stream.

The selected design, for instance, a heat exchanger installed in an external still in carbon steel, was done as this unit was installed in an exposure area and of course, safety matters.

Furthermore, each side of the heat exchanger can be tested individually with full differential pressure (Side A: 24 bar G / Side B: Atmospheric).

Material of construction is 254SMO, heat transfer area is 473.1m², one pass flow arrangement.

The unit has been installed vertically and is favourably replacing an old design.

The confinement volume around the Platular® Heat Exchanger is empty (no Nitrogen).
