Po Valley Energy has begun new seismic campaigns on two of its gas projects to progress exploration and development near Bologna, Italy.
The firm has begun acquisition of a 2D land geophysical survey at the Sant’Alberto gas field in the San Vincenzo exploration licence north of Bologna, and at the Cembalina prospect within the Podere Gallina exploration permit, north-east of Bologna.
The new seismic surveys amount to a total of 40 firm line-kilometres and an additional 20 contingent line-kilometres.
Po Valley Energy’s CEO Giovanni Catalano said the newly acquired seismic data is to be incorporated into the existing dataset that will allow the firm to act on the pending application for San Vincenzo permit.
The data will also help Po Valley energy plan for a well in the Podere Gallina licence.
