National Oil Corporation of Libya (NOC) has reappointed Shokri Ghanem as chairman of the company, an unexpected return to the top oil post in Libya.
Ghanem was chairman of NOC from 2006 and left the post in September 2009, Reuters reported.
The reasons for his departure from the position were never made clear but he was replaced by Ali Seghir Mohamed Saleh.
