Chile’s Mejillones liquefied natural gas terminal will start commercial operations in May 2010, supplying energy to key mines.
The terminal has received its first tanker from Trinidad and the cargo will be used for testing before commercial operations.
Mejillones liquefied natural gas terminal head Frederik Janssens said the terminal will receive another tanker in May to initiate energy sales.
The refinery is a joint venture by Codelco and GDF Suez.
