EMCE - Ultra Compact Offshore Air Winches

EMCE have developed the new OAW series of ultra compact air winches for oil and gas lifting applications. With this new series of very compact air winches EMCE extends their range of existing air winches in the LV, MR, SB and MC series.

The winches are specially designed to meet the requirements for offshore as well as for onshore oil and gas lifting applications. Thus applications on offshore drilling rigs, fso's, fpso's, semi subs, land based oil rigs and other applications in hazardous environments.

AIR WINCHES FOR OIL AND GAS LIFTING APPLICATIONS

Range consists of five utility winches ranging from 2,500kg, 4,500kg, 6,500kg, 8,500kg to 10,500kg and two man rider winches of 1,500kg and 3,150kg. More detailed technical specifications can be obtained upon request.

All EMCE winches are based upon the same motor power, which means that the winches with a lower WLL have a higher speed and vice versa.

OFFSHORE AIR WINCHES

All winches have a drum integrated planetary two or three-stage high quality planetary gearbox with an enclosed spring applied disc brake. In other words the gearbox and brake are protected against salt spray, dirt or moisture, providing trouble free operation.

The motor is a radial piston type with built on manual operated biased throttle valve. This biased valve controls the downward acceleration.

In contrary with the other EMCE models the drum and flange diameters of these winches are fixed and can't be changed. The standard drum length is 610mm (24in) but can be adapted to cable length requirements.

The winch is prepared to easily fit a band brake (automatic or manual) but comes without it as standard.
