Marine and drilling personnel

OMS offers the provision of marine and drilling crews to the offshore oil and gas industry. We provide a full range of marine and drilling personnel, from seaman to master, roustabout to toolpusher, as well as catering staff.

Offshore supply and support vessels

At OMS, we operate our own fleet of offshore supply and support vessels. We currently operate 11 vessels globally with an average age of less than four years. Our fleet is predominately engaged in FPSO, seismic and rig support roles, with vessels ranging from 50m FPSO off-take vessels to 150t bollard-pull AHTSVs.

Offshore rig moving services

OMS has extensive experience in mobilising, demobilising and positioning semi-submersible and jack-up drilling rigs and tender assist rigs. We have actively participated in positioning deepwater semis in up to 2,000m of water, positioning jack-ups in shallow water and installing tender assist rigs with complex cross mooring systems over subsea hardware.

UHP water blasting services

OMS provides a dedicated UHP water blasting service to its clients. UHP water blasting is the truly viable alternative to sand and grit blasting, with no clean-up costs or issues associated with spent abrasive.

Our UHP services are uniquely positioned to capitalise on the heightened problems of flammable issues and exacting safety standards in hazardous areas within the oil and gas industry. We are committed to training and safety within the oil and gas industry and have commissioned our UHP equipment Zone 2 safe.

UHP water blasting equipment

We operate Jetstream 4200 series, 265hp (190kW) UHP water blasting units. These are mounted in fully certified containers that have all the required wire rope slings for lifting as well as apertures for forklift. The container's dimensions are 12ft by 8ft and weigh approximately 7.5t.

Our UHP water blasting equipment is hugely versatile. The fluid head can be replaced in a matter of 30-40min, allowing us to provide a huge amount of different tasks, from industrial cleaning, pipe and heat exchanger cleaning, to industrial and marine surface preparation, aqua demolition and cold cutting. However, the best and most popular application for this technology is surface preparation as a viable, clean alternative to sand and grit blasting.

UHP water blasting equipment support

OMS has fully qualified technicians employed with us at all times for any UHP water blasting equipment needs. Our technicians have undergone extensive training with Jetstream as well as familiarising themselves fully with the unit during its assembly and testing period in the UK.
