Jotron’s New VSAT Antenna to be Launched at Nor-Shipping

Jotron is a leading manufacturer of professional communication systems for safety on land, sea and air. The worldwide supplier of stabilised marine VSAT antennas has announced the launch of Jotron B60Ku and Jotron B60Ka. The new Jotron B60 antenna adds to the recently released Jotron B85 antenna, and both Jotron B85Ku and Jotron B60Ka will be displayed at Nor-Shipping, Oslo, Norway, in June.

Jotron is also a major supplier of GMDSS-specified emergency radio equipment, and develops and markets intercom systems, batteryless telephone systems, integrated communication systems and PAGA systems.

Jotron is always at the forefront of new business requirements and pays close attention to market demands. The company’s antennas have proven high performance and robustness through extensive sea trials performed during harsh North Sea winter conditions. Use of the latest technology allows for high performance from very compact and robust RF and electrical components.

Installation is made easy by having a single cable between above deck equipment and below deck equipment. The antenna can lock onto the satellite without requiring any external input from components such as the ship’s compass.

The B60 and B85 are true global and future-proof antennas. They are capable of receiving and transmitting on all global VSAT satellite signals at Ku or Ka band. Best global transmit performance is ensured by automatically keeping transmit gain constant, independently of for example cable loss, carrier frequencies and temperatures.

The antenna can be remotely accessed using our advanced web-based tool for monitoring, control, support and diagnostics (JRAS).

Jotron B60 and Jotron B85 maritime VSAT communication antenna systems can be configured for either Ku-band or Ka-band operation. The upgrade can easily be performed on the vessel.

"High quality and innovative technology apply for all Jotron’s products," says Mr. Rolf Andreas Wallin, Sales and Marketing director of Jotron. "We maintain our position as market leaders by working closely with our customers to develop solutions in line with their real needs and the way they work. Professional users and crews will expect and require affordable broadband access anywhere at sea, and Jotron VSAT B60 and B85 are state-of-the-art, yet affordable and user-friendly antennas."

Visit Jotron at Nor-Shipping on 4-7 June in Oslo, Norway, at stand B03-22.
