SiiTech’s e-navigation solution for vessels and offshore platforms
SiiTech has developed a unique e-navigation platform, the Web VTS, which is an online vessel tracking system that allows monitoring any sensors onboard a vessel, from fuel consumption to oil spill detection. Web VTS enables a shore operational team to have a full picture of what happens on board a vessel or around the offshore space, ensuring offshore platform protection.
Web VTS controls each ship’s movement in real-time, utilising free and paid communication channels, getting real-time onboard sensors data and providing an excellent visual presentation.
We actively work with three major satellite automatic identification system (AIS) data providers, namely Orbcomm, exactEarth and Spire, and can supply satellite AIS data worldwide.
Undersea asset protection
The Web VTS is designed for undersea asset protection. More specifically, the Web VTS protects your offshore assets such as oil and gas platforms, subsea pipelines and cables, and includes the Web Weather Server to provide worldwide forecast weather overlay for up to 15 days.
ENC Web VTS service
Web VTS is a very scalable and robust system and can monitor more than 150,000 vessels and other targets, as well as handle over 1,000 users simultaneously.
Designed to provide an optimal presentation of Electronic Navigational Charts (ENC) – S57/S63 on the internet, the Web VTS platform can work offline within a local intranet or on a single computer. The Web Chart Server works as a web service.
The Web VTS e-Navigation platform includes the Web Weather Server to provide worldwide forecast weather overlay up to 15 days.
The platform also offers a Density Map on demand, which performs a visual analysis of the ship traffic pattern. The combination provides pie charts of what number and type of vessels produced.
Web VTS solution provides ship photo (more than 100,000 unique IMOs) and ship details (more than 134,000 unique IMOs with up to 100 fields) services.
Additional features include:
- Real-time vessel traffic monitoring near offshore platforms
- Advanced alarming algorithm warns operators only if there are critical situation
- Easy to draw all subsea cables and pipelines with adjustable guardian zones just in minutes
- Collision avoidance, pre-warning, Closest Point of Approach (CPA), Time to Closest Point of Approach (TCPA)
- Daily, weekly or monthly reports of vessel movements near offshore platforms, subsea pipelines and cables
Seamless compatibility with radar and mobile devices
The Web VTS solution supports integration with Esri ArcGIS products and quickly exports vessels’ real-time data to the ArcGIS Server and Esri ArcGIS products.
The platform supports the Modbus protocol and has been integrated to Honeywell and Yokogawa to provide advanced automation and safety solutions to enable remote onshore operation for an offshore platform, including unmanned systems, to reduce overall production costs and improve safety.
Web VTS fully supports radar, automatic radar plotting aids (ARPAs) and CCTV cameras, and is also compatible with iOS (iPhone, iPod, iPad), Android and Blackberry devices.
