SIS

Southern Inspection Services (SIS) has announced it has been acquired by Versa Integrity Group, a company specializing in nondestructive testing (NDT) and inspection services.

SIS Mississippi regional manager Sonny Mallette said: "SIS will benefit the entire group and will help SIS continue its growth as a full-service NDT firm. We feel that this acquisition is beneficial to all of our customers and employees because it qualifies SIS to advance with technology."

SIS will continue to operate under its original name until a transition period has passed for our customers and contracts. Companies with current contracts with SIS will find all of our managers, supervisors and support personnel are available to provide the same professional service they have been accustomed to in the past.

"SIS will benefit the entire group and will help SIS continue its growth as a full-service NDT firm."

Versa Integrity Group was formed from the merger of Owensby and Kritikos, which had previously acquired Rope Access Technology and Savoy Technical Services. The combination of these companies provides customers with nearly 400 engineers, API inspectors and NDE technicians. The SIS acquisition brings together a group of organizations that have been operating in NDE inspection for a combined 80 years.

With five Gulf Coast locations and a Rocky Mountain location, the merger enables Versa to offer SIS customers a variety of specialty and high-tech inspection techniques that have not been previously available from SIS. Among these are automated ultrasonic testing and high-end evaluation capability, including phased array, time-of-flight diffraction, automated corrosion mapping, guided-wave long-range ultrasonics, eddy current and rope access services.

We appreciate the continued cooperation from all of our employees and customers as we work through this transition period.
