Reftrade UK, a market-leading specialist in the sale and lease of refrigerated containers and temperature-controlled units to the offshore energy sector, has made a significant £100,000 investment in its rental fleet to aid further business growth.
The investment will see Reftrade UK take a market-lead as the only rental supplier of 10ft and 20ft zone rated explosion-proof containers.
Greg Spence, Reftrade UK managing director, said: "Following extensive market research, Reftrade UK developed the new zone rated reefer containers to offer our customers flexibility in sighing the equipment within Zone 1 and 2 areas on top of the already available ‘Safe Area’ rental fleet. These units will also be fitted with high-end specifications to meet all health and safety standards and fully ATEX compliant.
"We are constantly developing our product offering in line with customer requirements. Being the first to offer these containers for rental sets us apart from anything else that is currently available to lease and is an important part of the company’s vision for growth."
Last year Reftrade UK announced growth plans, with the aim of increasing turnover from £480,000 to £1,250,000 over a three-year period, and is on course to achieve this.
The new product is capable of providing cold storage, in a -20°C to +5°C temperature range, providing a flexible solution for transporting a range of perishable food or goods such as core samples that require specific storage conditions.
Mr Spence continued: "Reftrade UK now has a proven track record of supplying quality, bespoke zoned and safe area units that exceed both British and European safety standards to suit our customers’ refrigeration needs."
Using an integrated business model, Reftrade UK supplies, delivers and advises on the rental and sale of all DNV 2.7-1 / EN 12079 storage reefers including manufacturing for bespoke projects in both standard and zoned containers.
