BP Skarv FPSO Project in Korea

AC Marine has secured a new, big contract in Korea with Samsung Heavy Industries to deliver the HVAC Systems to BP Skarv FPSO. The HVAC systems are to serve accommodation and forward and aft hull and machinery areas.

The project is a floating production, storage and offloading unit to be located in the Norwegian Sea approximately 210km west of Sandnessjøen.

BP Norway is the main customer and end user. Aker Kvaerner, Norway is BP’s engineering partner, with whom all technical matters are to be solved in co-operation with Samsung.

The contract includes engineering, equipment delivery and commissioning of the HVAC systems. Equipment delivery is planned from the second to fourth quarter of 2008. Commissioning of HVAC systems will take place in the third quarter of 2009.
