Plymbridge Road,
PL6 7LG United Kingdom

Fine Tubes is a specialist manufacturer of precision metal tubing in high performance stainless steel, nickel and titanium alloys.

We have the unique capability to manufacture tubes in seamless, welded, or welded and redrawn (Weldrawn®) finish, in straight lengths or coils, used in the most demanding oil and gas applications.

Our tubing size range includes:

  • Up to 50mm (2in) outside diameter
  • Straight lengths up to 65ft (20m) and coils up to 33,000ft (10,000m) long orbital joints

Our corrosion-resistant tubing solutions offer extended product life and reduced maintenance costs in the harshest offshore environments.

Critical applications include:

  • Downhole, hydraulic and chemical injection control lines
  • Instrumentation
  • Control lines in subsea umbilicals
  • Downhole gauge cables
  • Pressure housings

Stainless-steel tubes

Fine Tubes manufactures a range of high-performance stainless steel tubes that offer an excellent combination of corrosion resistance and metallurgical stability including NORSOK-approved 6 Moly and Super Duplex S32750.

Stainless-steels: 316, 316L, 316Ti, 317L, 321, 6Mo, 17-4PH, 15-5PH, 904L, Nitronic 50TM, Duplex (S31803), Super Duplex (S32750)

Nickel alloy tubes

Our Nickel alloy tubes offer high-corrosion resistance in both aqueous and high-temperature applications.

Nickel alloys: 59, 400, 625, 718, 800, 825, C22, C276, MP35N

Titanium tubes

Our titanium tubing solutions offer high strength, exceptional corrosion resistance and toughness.

Titanium: Ti CP (Grade 1 and Grade 2), Ti 3AL-2.5V (Grade 9), Ti 6AL-4V (Grade 5)

Instrumentation tubing

Fine Tubes manufactures high performance control and instrumentation tubing in stainless-steel, duplex and super duplex stainless-steel, titanium and nickel alloys.

Instrumentation tubing is used in onshore control panels, topside processing facilities and subsea manifolds and templates up to 2,000m under the sea.

Control lines

Fine Tubes offers coiled tubing for control lines in stainless steel and nickel alloys used in the most aggressive subsea and downhole conditions applications, including:

  • Downhole hydraulic control lines
  • Downhole chemical control lines
  • Subsea umbilical control lines for hydraulic power and chemical injection
  • Smooth bore control lines used in fibre-optic applications

Fine Tubes manufactures control line tubing as seamless, welded and redrawn products in standard grades of stainless-steel alloy 316L and nickel alloys 825 and 625. Specialist grades of stainless-steel in duplex and super duplex and nickel alloy are available on request.

High-pressure tubing

High-pressure tubing manufactured by Fine Tubes is used to help extract oil and gas in some of the most hostile downhole conditions including deepwater and sour oil well projects.

Operating conditions can require Fine Tubes products to be rated up to 60,000psi operating pressure and with a tensile strength up to 220ksi.

Fine Tubes produces high-integrity, high-quality umbilical control line tubing, which is used in the most demanding subsea conditions.

Our control line umbilicals are available in a range of alloys including stainless steel, as well as austenitic, duplex and super duplex stainless steel grades.

Coiled tubing

Fine Tubes supplies coiled tubing for control lines in seam welded / redrawn and seamless conditions. Lengths up to 10,000m (33,000ft) are produced and include orbital joints for various subsea applications.

Coiled tubing is also used in onshore or topside hydraulic and instrumentation systems where the longer coils result in fewer connections and can increase the integrity of the overall system.

Global presence

Offering more than 70 years of engineering experience, Fine Tubes has a fully integrated production plant for the manufacture, research and development of precision tubes.

Further sales offices are based in Germany, India, Taiwan, Singapore and the US, and we export to over 35 countries worldwide.

Fine Tubes co-operates with a network of agents covering the Middle East who represent our high performance tubing range for seamless, welded, welded and redrawn (Weldrawn®) in stainless-steel, titanium and nickel alloys.

Fine Tubes and US-based sister company, Superior Tube, are collectively a unit of AMETEK Specialty Metal Products, a division of AMETEK Inc, a leading global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices.

Fine Tubes Control Line Tubing

Fine Tubes offers coiled control line in stainless-steel and nickel alloys and manufacture seam welded and redrawn, seam welded and floating plug redrawn and seamless tube products. The standard grades are 316L, alloy 825 and alloy 625. Other grades of stainless steel in duplex and superduplex and nickel alloy are available on request. Tubing can be supplied in the annealed or cold worked condition.
