Geoquip Contracted for Geotechnical Services Off the Jamaican Coast

Geoquip was recently contracted to perform offshore geotechnical services for an LNG port development off the coast of Jamaica in Old Harbour Bay.

The MV Investigator, which had just completed a large site investigation off the Chilean coast in the Pacific, was mobilised to Jamaica within two weeks of contract signature. On site, the MV Investigator completed a 63 borehole programme within four weeks, incident and injury free. The Client commended Geoquip for doing a great job: “Great to work with Geoquip, you guys have been one of the best contractors to work with”. The data will enable our Client to design the required mooring facilities and pipelines for the proposed LNG port development.
