Lewa-Nikkiso Acquires Geveke to Strengthen its Presence in the Oil and Gas Sector

Tokyo-based manufacturer of fluid control technologies Nikkiso acquired Dutch sales company and system integrator of industrial pumps and compressors Geveke BV in late July. Together with its German subsidiary Lewa GmbH, the manufacturer of metering and process pumps, metering devices and complete systems for fluid metering, Nikkiso is increasing its presence in the global oil and gas market. Geveke BV and its group companies deal in pumps, compressed air, and technical solutions that comprise of components and modules for building management technology. Geveke will retain its divisions and the management team in their present form.

Geveke’s strength is the design and delivery of integrated pump and compressor systems. Its customer base includes many large and leading conglomerates in the oil and chemical industry. The company’s systems are used both onshore and offshore in preparation facilities, for chemical injection in enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and for local nitrogen generation.

The combination of Lewa-Nikkiso’s leading pump and system technology and Geveke’s skills in customer-specific system design will create additional powerful solutions. The product and service range will also extend to customers in the compressor systems segment, adding to Nikkiso’s portfolio. Growth and synergy are expected in many end markets, including the oil and gas sector and the process industry. There is particular potential in the support of British, Danish, African and South Korean shipbuilders.
