US-based security firm Six Maritime has taken on new contracts providing safety and security services to the oil and gas industry in the Gulf of Guinea this year.

Six Maritime have performed well, breaking into a range of different arenas within the industry by focusing on client satisfaction.

The company entered into the offshore oil and gas PMSC market in 2012 by providing safety and security services to seismic survey operations off the coast in Tanzania.

Six Maritime’s focus on cultural awareness and sensitivity allowed them to work successfully with the Tanzanian defence forces, resulting in their participation in other markets.

In 2013, the company expanded into the offshore oil and gas industry with a major contract servicing the offshore market in Kenya.

This year, Six Maritime built a security school house outside Owerri in Nigeria and expanded their robust presence.

CEO Joseph Allen is delighted about these new opportunities and wants to continually expand as investment in the Gulf of Guinea increases.
