Germany oil & gas industry registered a 34.3% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 20.87% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.

Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 5.42% share in July 2021, recording an increase of 0.35% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Germany oil & gas industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 95.37% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany oil & gas industry in July 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 53.7% in July 2021, a 56.76% growth over the previous month.

2) Computer Support Specialists claimed a 12.96% share, an increase of 180% over the previous month.

3) Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 11.11%, registering a 100% rise from June 2021.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 9.26%, down 23.08% over the previous month.

Top five oil & gas companies in Germany IT recruitment activity in July 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 77.36% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany oil & gas industry during July 2021 over June 2021.

Henkel AGKGaA posted 31 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a rise of 933.33% over the previous month, followed by BASF with 28 jobs and a 33.33% growth. Yara International with 17 IT jobs and Evonik Industries with 12 jobs, recorded a 41.67% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Nufarm recorded a 20% an increase with 6 job postings during July 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 71.3%, up by 40% from June 2021. Entry Level positions with a 17.59% share, a growth of 171.43% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 11.11% share, up 33.33% over June 2021.
