IMECA: Pipelay Systems, Pipelay Equipment and Special Winches

IMECA is an engineering company with headquarters in eastern France (near Lyon) and is part of the REEL GROUP. IMECA provides the complete design and manufacturing of hydraulic/ electric lifting and laying equipment such as pipe and riser A&R winches, deepwater buoy winches, mooring equipment for FPSOs, pipe-laying systems and tensioners.

Detailed engineering is carried out in Fontenay-le-Comte while manufacturing, assembly, testing and delivery are covered through two other IMECA production sites: Le Trait for medium to large-sized equipment ; and La Pallice Harbor (La Rochelle) for ultra large-sized equipment.
