CASE STUDY: Geotechnical SI for a Mega Port Development in Chile

By Geoquip Marine

Geoquip recently completed a major geotechnical campaign in the Pacific Ocean for the port of San Antonio, offshore Chile.

Chile’s main port, the Port of San Antonio, is located in the central part of the country and is the closest port to the capital, Santiago. The project encompasses a new container terminal basin with a 3,500 m berthing line, which will allow for future port infrastructure as of the next decade, when it is estimated that demand will exceed the current capacity.
