Germany-based company BASF’s IT hiring rose 10.8% in April 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 1.47% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 6.81% share in the company’s total hiring activity in April 2022, and recorded a 0.68% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops BASF IT hiring in April 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by BASF, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 73.77% in April 2022, and a 36.36% rise over March 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 13.11% in April 2022, and registered growth of 33.33%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 9.84% in April 2022, a 200% rise from March 2022.

Europe drives IT hiring at BASF

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global oil & gas IT hiring activity in April 2022 with a 50.82% share, which marked a 19.23% rise over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 29.51%, registering a 38.46% month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with a 19.67% share and a 50% rise over March 2022.

Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s oil & gas industry IT hiring activity with a 50.82% share in April 2022, a 24% growth over March 2022. Malaysia featured next with an 18.03% share, up 22.22% over the previous month. US recorded a 14.75% share, an increase of 200% compared with March 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead BASF IT hiring activity in April 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 83.61%, up by 34.21% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 9.84% share, a growth of 20% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 6.56% share, down 33.33% over March 2022.
