Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at BP

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global oil & gas IT hiring activity in May 2022 with a 60% share, which marked a 42.31% drop over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 32%, registering a 166.67% month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with an 8% share and a 71.43% drop over April 2022.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s oil & gas industry IT hiring activity with a 56% share in May 2022, a 44% decline over April 2022. The UK featured next with a 28% share, up 133.33% over the previous month. US recorded an 8% share, a decline of 71.43% compared with April 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead BP IT hiring activity in May 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 76%, up by 5.56% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with a 20% share, a decline of 72.22% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 4% share, flat growth over April 2022.
