
US-based company Exxon Mobil’s IT hiring declined 4.0% in September 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 13.29% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 22.4% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2021, and recorded a 4.83% decline over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Exxon Mobil IT hiring in September 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Exxon Mobil, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 66.23% in September 2021, and a 9.19% rise over August 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 13.44% in September 2021, and registered growth of 5.13%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 12.13% in September 2021, a 2.63% drop from August 2021.
South & Central America drives IT hiring at Exxon Mobil
South & Central America emerged as the leading region in the global oil & gas IT hiring activity in September 2021 with a 37.7% share, which marked an 8% drop over the previous month.
North America stood next with 27.87%, registering a 66.67% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 19.34% share and a 3.51% rise over August 2021.
In the fourth place was Asia-Pacific with a share of 15.08% and a month-on-month decline of 14.81%.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s oil & gas industry IT hiring activity with a 25.57% share in September 2021, a 69.57% growth over August 2021. Brazil featured next with a 23.93% share, down 10.98% over the previous month.
Junior Level jobs lead Exxon Mobil IT hiring activity in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 78.36%, up by 10.14% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 14.1% share, a decline of 10.42% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.54% share, up 4.55% over August 2021.
