The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 4.14% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.
Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.22% share in November 2022, recording an increase of 0.12% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in France’s oil & gas industry’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s oil & gas industry in November 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 51.72% in November 2022, registering a 150% growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 27.59% share, an increase of 14.29% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 17.24%, registering a 50% decline from October 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 3.45%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five oil & gas companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 64.71% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s oil & gas industry during November 2022 over October 2022.
Schlumberger posted 10 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a rise of 900% over the previous month, followed by TotalEnergies with 7 jobs and a 133.33% growth. Air Liquide with 6 IT jobs and Arkema with 4 jobs, recorded a 25% decline and a 20% decrease, respectively, while Nippon Paint Holdings recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during November 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.97%, up by 11.11% from October 2022. Entry Level positions with a 27.59% share, registered an increase of 300% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 3.45% share, down 75% over October 2022.
