France’s oil & gas industry registered a 7.1% rise in IT hiring activity in October 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 4.91% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.
Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.35% share in October 2022, recording an increase of 0.14% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in France’s oil & gas industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s oil & gas industry in October 2022.
1) Database and Network Administrators and Architects recorded a share of 37.93% in October 2022, registering a 57.14% growth over the previous month.
2) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a 27.59% share, a decrease of 27.27% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 24.14%, registering a 50% decline from September 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 6.9%, up 100% over the previous month.
Top five oil & gas companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s oil & gas industry during October 2022 over September 2022.
Air Liquide posted 8 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a rise of 100% over the previous month, followed by CGG with 7 jobs and a flat growth. Arkema with 4 IT jobs and TotalEnergies with 3 jobs, recorded a 20% decline and a 76.92% decrease, respectively, while Roquette Freres recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 86.21%, down by 10.71% from September 2022. Mid Level positions with a 6.9% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 6.9% share, down 50% over September 2022.
