The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 11.54% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.

Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.93% share in October 2022, recording an increase of 0.06% over the last three-month average share.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 33.33% in October 2022, registering a 4.17% growth over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 29.33% share, a decrease of 29.03% over the previous month.

3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 20%, registering an 11.76% decline from September 2022.

4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 16%, up 33.33% over the previous month.

Top five oil & gas companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 15.49% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s oil & gas industry during October 2022 over September 2022.

Sika posted 25 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a drop of 32.43% over the previous month, followed by BASF with 22 jobs and a 4.35% drop. Yara International with 5 IT jobs and Henkel AGKGaA with 5 jobs, recorded a 16.67% decline and a 25% growth, respectively, while Brenntag recorded an increase of 200% with 3 job postings during October 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 89.33%, down by 1.47% from September 2022. Entry Level positions with an 8% share, registered an increase of 20% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 2.67% share, down 80% over September 2022.
