The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 9.83% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.

Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.18% share in November 2022, recording an increase of 0.17% over the last three-month average share.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 31.43% in November 2022, registering a 15.38% decline over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 27.14% share, an increase of 58.33% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 24.29%, registering a 22.73% decline from October 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 15.71%, down 26.67% over the previous month.

Top five oil & gas companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 3.45% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s oil & gas industry during November 2022 over October 2022.

BASF posted 23 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Sika with 23 jobs and an 8% drop. Henkel AGKGaA with 5 IT jobs and Fugro with 3 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Yara International recorded a decline of 60% with 2 job postings during November 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.14%, down by 20.59% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 15.71% share, registered an increase of 266.67% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.14% share, flat growth over October 2022.
