The industry’s overall hiring increased by 4.36% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.
Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 11.34% share in October 2022, recording an increase of 2.72% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Italy’s oil & gas industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Italy’s oil & gas industry in October 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 63.64% in October 2022, registering a 28.21% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed an 18.18% share, an increase of 33.33% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 9.09%, registering a flat growth from September 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 6.82%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five oil & gas companies in Italy’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 13.64% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Italy’s oil & gas industry during October 2022 over September 2022.
Hera posted 25 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a drop of 39.02% over the previous month, followed by Saipem with 5 jobs and a flat growth. Lanxess with 3 IT jobs and Snam with 3 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while TotalEnergies recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 79.55%, down by 7.89% from September 2022. Mid Level positions with a 20.45% share, registered an increase of 28.57% compared with the previous month.
