Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.88% share in November 2022, recording a decrease of 0.05% over the last three-month average share.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 26.37% share, a decrease of 43.48% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 24.14%, registering a 31.21% decline from October 2022.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 8.11%, down 33.33% over the previous month.
Top five oil & gas companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 26.11% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s oil & gas industry during November 2022 over October 2022.
Halliburton posted 28 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a drop of 3.45% over the previous month, followed by Nutrien with 26 jobs and a 40.91% drop. Saudi Kayan Petrochemical with 22 IT jobs and ShawCor with 21 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 69.12% decrease, respectively, while Sherwin-Williams recorded an increase of 18.75% with 19 job postings during November 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 59.03%, down by 44.15% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 29.41% share, registered a decline of 26.4% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 10.75% share, down 32.91% over October 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.81%, recording a month-on-month increase of 100%.
