Contracts in the downstream oil and gas segment registered a decrease of 39% with 123 contracts in Q4 2021, when compared with 202 contracts in the previous quarter, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.
The activity marked a decrease of 41%, when compared with the last four-quarter average of 208 contracts.

Asia-Pacific led the contracts activity for downstream segment, with 61 contracts and a 50% share in Q4 2021, followed by Europe and Middle East with 26 (21%) and 16 (13%) contracts, respectively.
Contracts by scope of work in downstream segment in Q4 2021
During the quarter, the majority of contracts in the downstream segment were awarded in the procurement with 68 contracts, followed by design & engineering and operations & maintenance with 48 and 34 contracts, respectively.
