Contract activities in downstream segment in Africa down 50% in December 2021

The downstream segment contracts in Africa registered a decrease of 50% with one contract in December 2021, when compared with the previous month’s total of two contracts, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.

A total of one contract were registered in the downstream segment of Africa during the month, when compared with the last 12-month moving average of three contracts.


Based on 12-month moving average of the contracts in the downstream segment of Africa, Egypt and Nigeria took the top spot with one contract each.

During the month, the majority of downstream segment contracts awarded in the Africa were in the procurement with one contract.
