Florida witnessed an increase of 3.98% in total oil and gas production to 11,711.1 boe/d in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.
The oil and gas production grew 18.86% in August 2021 from 9,852.79 boe/d in August 2020. On a YTD basis, the total oil and gas production in 2021 increased by 17.6% from the same period in 2020.
In August 2021, oil production declined 1.16% to 4,098.03 bd as against the previous month, while gas production up by 6.98% to 44.16 mmcf/d.
On a YTD basis, oil production increased by 25.93% in 2021 when compared with the same period in 2020, while gas production rose by 13.1%. Out of the total oil and gas production in August 2021, oil held a 34.99% share, while gas had a 65.01% share.
In Florida, Maverick Natural Resources emerged as the largest oil and gas producer, recording a total oil and gas production at 11,388.69 boe/d in August 2021, an increase of 5.39% from the previous month. The company held a 92.45% share in oil production and 99.82% share in gas production in August 2021.
On a YTD basis, the company registered a 15.87% increase in total oil and gas production from the same period in 2020.
Compared with other counties in Florida, Santa Rosa county recorded the highest oil and gas production, holding a 74.89% share in August 2021. The county witnessed a 5.82% increase in production to 8,770.9 boe/d in August 2021 when compared with the previous month.
On a YTD basis, Santa Rosa registered an increase of 16.87% in total production from the same period in 2020.
