Contracts in the midstream oil and gas segment registered an increase of 11% with a total of 50 contracts in August 2022, when compared with 45 contracts in the previous month, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.
The activity marked a decrease of 42%, when compared with the last 12-month average of 86 contracts.

By comparing contracts related to the midstream segment in different regions of the globe, Asia-Pacific held the top position with 21 contracts and a 42% share in August 2022, followed by Europe and Middle East with 16 (32%) and five (10%) contracts, respectively.

During the month, the majority of contracts in the midstream segment were awarded in the operations & maintenance with 20 contracts, followed by procurement and construction with 17 and 15 contracts, respectively.
