Contracts in the midstream oil and gas segment registered a decrease of 41% with a total of 43 contracts in July 2022, when compared with 73 contracts in the previous month, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.
The activity marked a decrease of 51%, when compared with the last 12-month average of 87 contracts.

By comparing contracts related to the midstream segment in different regions of the globe, Asia-Pacific held the top position with 16 contracts and a 37% share in July 2022, followed by Europe and Middle East with 15 (35%) and five (12%) contracts, respectively.

During the month, the majority of contracts in the midstream segment were awarded in the procurement with 26 contracts, followed by design & engineering and construction with 17 and 10 contracts, respectively.
